Firefighting Grooved pipes and fittings

It has international UL and FM standards

Piping of the fire extinguishing system by the Grooved method:

Grooved is a piping method in water automatic fire extinguishing systems (sprinkler).

Firefighting Grooved pipes and fittings:

Groved is a piping method in water automatic fire extinguishing systems (sprinkler) and fire boxes. Sprinklers need proper piping to supply the water they need so that they can withstand the required water pressure according to the efficiency, the number of floors and the area of a building. For this purpose, grooved pipes and fittings are the best options available. In the sprinkler automatic fire extinguishing system, welded piping is required, and this piping should be designed and implemented according to the number of nozzles and floors of a building and bear the appropriate working pressure. Currently, according to internal standards, galvanized pipes should be used for the firebox system of projects up to 4 and 5 roofs, and more than that, heavy weight seamless welding pipes should be used for sprinklers and fireboxes.

Why is it important to use this method?

In order to be able to withstand the working pressure of the sprinkler and comply with international standards. From the point of view that buildings above 23 meters high must be equipped with sprinkler system, the number of nozzles in a building increases and the volume of piping also increases. In the welded pipe system, there have been many problems such as deposits, clogging, rusting, leakage, etc. Also, practically, if the sprinkler works after some time, nothing but rust and corrosion will come out of it, and a very high cost will be spent on this equipment. In the end, it will be useless, and there is also no possibility of making changes. In general, too much welding in the project causes fire and its own problems, and according to the standards, professional and certified welding should be used. In general, this work has never been realized and all the welds are done without testing, etc., and in the future, it will incur additional costs and rework. Due to these problems and cases, welded pipes have not been used in projects in the whole world since several years ago. Grooved fire hoses and fittings are used instead. In this method, all pipes are deep-dipped galvanized of heavy weight.

Also:

At the beginning and end of the tube, a groove is created by a special device (female groove). A flat and accurate cut is made on the surface of the pipe and the pipes are connected to each other by fittings and clamps. Groved system has many and various connections such as tees, knees, conversions, etc. Up to the size of 2 inches, usually all the grooved pipes and fittings are heavy weight galvanized with UL certification, and the higher sizes are grooved and grooved and from its connections. and most importantly, the work is done in a uniform and integrated manner according to the standards of the world. This Grooved piping system is very delicate, beautiful and coordinated.
