Description
The fire-fighting star-delta controller is a vital component in fire-fighting systems, designed and manufactured by the technical unit of Mana Sanat Paydar Company in accordance with the requirements of the Iranian Fire Code and based on the international standards NFPA 20, UL 218 and FM 1321. This switchboard has an IP54 protection rating and is designed for reliable operation of fire pump in industrial and construction environments.

In order to reduce inrush current and prevent electrical stress at the moment of startup, the star-delta starting method is used in the power circuit. This method ensures motor stability, reduces mechanical stress and prevents network voltage drops.
- The main power circuit equipment is selected from Schneider Electric to provide stable performance under heavy-duty working conditions.
- The star-triangle switchboard is equipped with a 7-inch Delta touch HMI user interface, which allows real-time monitoring of pump status, recording and displaying errors, selecting operating modes, and control settings.
- The control structure is based on Siemens industrial PLC, and control algorithms ensure high-precision and high-speed system performance.
- The switchboard has a locked rotor protection system that prevents damage to the motor by detecting an abnormal increase in current. Also, the presence of an internal alarm quickly informs the operator of emergency situations such as pressure drop or error.
How the fire-fighting star-triangle controller works
The overall structure of the switchboard is fixed and standard. The only power circuit is selected and configured based on the rated power and current of the project pump to function properly according to the needs of each booster pump. This approach maintains design integrity while providing sufficient flexibility to adapt to different pump powers.
The original Rama Fire Department Wye Delta electrical panel (Wye Delta) is manufactured in 2 models S1/S2 and S3 by Mana Sanat Paydar Company.
- S1/S2 electrical panel: Includes 2 star-delta motors and a jockey pump, which is used to provide small pressure drops. The structure of the S1 switchboard is designed so that two electropumps are turned on simultaneously, while in the S2 switchboards, one electropump is turned on.
- S3 switchboard: This switchboard is used to start an electropump.
