Fire pump performance testing services

A fire pump is a device that uses mechanical energy to send water at high pressure to the firefighting network piping system. These pumps are usually used in sprinkler systems, fire hydrants, and other firefighting systems.

A fire pump testing laboratory is one of the vital departments in the field of safety and firefighting, which is responsible for examining and verifying the performance and quality of fire pumps before their final installation or operation. These laboratories must be equipped and operated in accordance with international standards, especially NFPA standards (such as NFPA 20) and UL/FM standards.

Fire Pump Testing Objectives

  • Confirmation of hydraulic performance (flow and pressure)
  • Energy consumption (power and efficiency)
  • Vibration and noise testing
  • Component operating temperature testing
  • Ensuring reliable performance in critical conditions

Mana Sanat Paydar Company Fire Pump Performance Testing Laboratory

Mana Sanat Paydar Company’s specialized laboratory, as one of the few specialized fire pump performance testing centers in the country, has an ISO/IEC 17025 certificate in the field of firefighting equipment testing. All tests are conducted based on NFPA 20 standards and the requirements of the National Standards Organization of Iran, and the resulting data can be officially cited.

The testing process includes measuring the flow rate, head, pressure, efficiency, power consumption, and mechanical behavior of the pump under working conditions similar to actual operation.

Digital measuring equipment, online data recording systems, and performance analysis software are used in this center.

The laboratory is capable of testing all types of rotodynamic pumps, grades 1, 2, 3, as well as centrifugal pumps, grades 1, 2, 3.

The testing equipment includes electric, diesel, linear, horizontal and multi-stage motor systems, all of which are operated in accordance with global testing guidelines.

The final test reports are submitted to the employer with the seal and signature of technical experts and in a format approved by legal authorities.
